It looks(dare I say it) even more accurate than Stan's version ;)
Amazing, considering that you don't have much experience in modelling(as you say).

Hehe, now, if you could only copy Alesi_Fan's sidepod edges(in the way they are curved), it'll be nigh on complete. Also, the suspension bulges on the nose or your model are just a bit to pronounced, compared to the real car.

Thanks

@Berger fan

I have made some modeling in 3d before, but that was about 4-5 years back.
It was some tutorials, simple shapes and an attempt to made a motorcycle.
(still not finished) So I decided to have another go at it. Thanks to GP4 and formula 1.
This is my first car I modeling.

I believe that I had all I needed to make this F1 but the more you look at things,
you will see small differences you did not see at first.
The 642 was used from start -91 and at Magny-Cours the 643 arrived as you know.

Do you know when they start used the

The Ferrari that season was diff at every gp so u cant realy say when they used them or no

Ferrari used the more squared sidepod(on the older shape) from Phoenix, Interlagos and Imola. They also used it in Canada and Mexico.

@ Alesi_Fan: That's a superb painting! Did you give to Gerhard yourself?

Looking great! :)
two small things though:

1) The sidepod openings are a bit too far forward, and need to curve downwards.

2) The whole airbox and engine cover needs to be a (little) bit thinner.

other than that, it's almost perfect!

it looking really good, it could be a tough choice when both these excellent ferraris are finished. but i would agree with berger_fan about the airbox/engine cover point. there is one of these cars in the ferrari garage in the town im living which i occasionally stare at and it seems to be a very slim, slight car whereas the model does appear maybe a little bulky.

keep up the good work.

in theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, in practice, there is.

OK!

I will try to change that.
My "blueprint" is for 641/2 so I work by feeling and pictures now.
About wing position, was it 5 cm lower and 10 cm forward compare to -90?
You tell Erix about on his Dallara. I guesses that goes for all car -91.
Thanks for the support

Yes, they were, for all cars. 10cms narrower from the rear - the front stays the same. :)
