Hi all. The quality of my hi-res helmet seems to get worse in-game quicker than Raymond's. The further you are away from it, the worse it gets. How can I increase the quality of my helmet?

instead of downsampling, don't :P

basically load the same texture for all four lods in gp4master..

try to use texresizer and resize the tex to 1024x1024, if you have downsampled your helmet before

I resized the tex files, but the helmet became black in places and the livery that was there was tiny and wasn't placed correctly. :(

Any ideas?

you have to make the mulitples........ so the hi-res ones now are 512x128, if you want higher res, then it will have to be 1024x256 (if my mental maths is correct)

erm........... theres a way to do it, what i did with some of my helmets, whilst experimenting with alphas, was you can make your helmet texture in 1024x1024 and import to a tex file, say a car tex file that is 1024x1024. And then use tex-resizer and change it to the dimensions i said before
