I'm trying to make a beautifull render from 2 of my cars. I'm quite busy with that.

im still interested to see this mclaren (OK without tyres ;) ) in gp4 ! i think it could be possible, gp4 handles much polygons (see erix' ferrari, you haven't got much PO rising (the main po rising thing is high textures!)) without much problems!

That is absolutely incredible! If that's the future of GP4 then I feel very optimistic! WOOOOOOWWW!

If this car would be possible to see in GP4 then it means --> polygons must be decreased heavily.

@ Erix

I just lern about meshsmooth in 3d max. I did not use it yet, but is it possible to use for game modeling?

Absolutely. It help you alot to construct normals into realistic shadow and reflection on meshes. And would be great with larger polygons.

In reality, doesn't matter who's right but most important is who's left.

Just be careful there some hidden traps on mesh smoothing modifier. :)
For example, you'll get trouble with a sharp edge using the same smooth group. Also, importing to 3ds will splitting your vertices in faces with different smooth group.

It will different if screenshot taken from the game.

I don't think you want you model have a mesh smooth...

I have my car in 3dsMax. And tried a Mesh Smooth. It's now about 3500 Poly's and than about 10000. So I don't think it's really possible. When you have good normals it also looks good.
