hi I know this is quite off GP4 Topic, but I have been unsuccessful in updating my GeForce drivers.

I have an Intel i7 with Windows 7 64bit os.

I have Nvidia GeForce GTX465 graphics card. I tried several times updating the drivers, but everytime unsuccessful.
The last driver version installed successfully was 347.88.

After this driver version I tried several times, but again unsuccessful.

I read somewhere online to uninstall the installed driver version 347.88, I have uninstalled it through a program called 'DDU', & now again when I attempt to install any driver, I get an eorror, NVIDIA INSTALLER FAILED. (Latest downloaded BUT NOT installed driver is 358.50).

Right now I have no driver installed, hence my screen looking stretched & blurred, & hence being unable to play an games, due to lack of graphics card driver!

Can anyone be so kind to help me sort this problem? I use teamviewer if this can help online....
Tried posting on Nvidia GeForce Forum, but so far no replies......
Thank you all

DDU only works satisfactorily if the user is in SAFE MODE to completely remove the display driver (Y)

@pippo46: Do you use GeForce Experience to update your driver? If, yes, I had the similar problem. To fix this problem, I have uninstalled GeForce Experience software and reinstalled the last version. Then, the graphic card driver could be updated without any problem.
Link to the last GeForce Experience version: [www.nvidia.fr] (choose your language on the right top of the nvidia page )

@jcaranti - tks4yr reply. No I have not tried upgrading to Win10.... Am a big rookie in that $h!t...... , if I do try, I bet my PC will b BYE BYE! :-O

@phantaman - tks4yr reply. Yes I successfully uninstalled in SAFE MODE, but then I still cud not install any driver version........ So I did a system restore, & back2where I was b4....hot

@Excalibur - tks4yr reply. Yes normally I check/update my NvidiaGeForce drivers through the Nvidia 'green icon' bottom right of my screen - Nvidia Control Panel, or wateva it is called.... was always successful, until my last installed driver, & I am not someone who plays around wit d system.....being a basic user! Now I am scared to do anytin else, bcos nothin works without d drivers even though I hav old driver installed! So as we speak PC works fine, only cockup is somtins wrong in d background wen it comes to install / update driver!;-(

here I am again......

with thanks to some GPG members & also Nvidia online-chat, I kinda managed to update my driver.

My old version driver was 347.88, which I now updated to new version driver 358.50

Basically the problem was that I needed to uninstall the previous driver, & then DO A CLEAN Installation....
It seems both old & newer driver were conflicting!

So problem solved.... I thought......

Now my GP4 has slowed down big time in 'frame rates' & when I press'O' whilst the game is running, I am somehow getting extremely high 'Processor Occupancy'! I have not touched any GP4 graphics settings, so I am now clueless to what is theproblem - perhaps the newly updated driver aint good for GP4?

Anyway here's screenshots of my Nvidia GeForce Control Panel.

Appreciate if someone who has a similar v/c can compare the seetings, & guide me accordingly please.

appreciate your help guys n gals.

Thanks
