system compares

im just interested as to what systems people are running and what settings they run gp4 at



well. im running...

AMD Athlon 2600+ XP @ 2.33ghz (stock is 2.09ghz)
TwinMos 512mb pc3200 ddr dual chanel ram
Saphire Radeon 9500 128mb @ 303.8/303.8 (need to setup a good overclock for that)
19" ibm monitor


gp4 is set to auto configure. i then go in and change bump maps on (thats it :P) and set the fps.

with on board sound and high accelloration i get 39fps recommended at full details and 1600*1200



please post ure specs and details

And GP4 runs now - with my new grafics card - 57fps/80% AvPo wetrace start Monaco on position 22. AA4 AF2

Now i only need a new bigtower case and better ram.

And - of course - gp4 settings.

All on, on high (full videowall, heat haze etc). Only lightening is on static but will test dynamik. Sound 2D+3D+EAX

I'm forever changing the settings, because I keep putting in diff'nt cars and stuff, ut generally everything is on highest detail, except for reflections cos they look stupid. between 35 and 40fps usually

i get with the gp4.gamer.nl carset, ricardo lamperts tracks, vipers 3d tires and high reso bumpmapping and everything high or extra high exept reflections, heat haze and videowalls and some extra gpxpatch features about 30 fps @ 1280x1024 behind a full grid in the rain at monaco, but comparing with your systems i should get much more i'm afraid =/

(not that i'm unhappy, a sauber in example looks like this right now: )

Got a ATI Radeon 9600XT right next to me, but getting it installed by a guy, who gonna upgrade other things too. I run GP4 atm, with everything on highest, running at 25FPs. Cant wait to get new card in there.

GP4 run at 48 fps in 1280/1024 full detail but i put the limit of frame at 30fps !

When i use the sound card of the mother board i lost 10fps

yup, mine ranks right up there with the top ones

At what resolution are you running Schimmy Mike because I beat that system and I can't pull those sort of frames.

I run gp4 at full details minus full mirrors and dynamic lighting and I have vsync on and I run all track updates and all the car updates.
At 1600x1200 I get 38 frames at monaco with a po of 80 at the back of the grid.
Although Monaco isn't the real system tester try A1 or Spa in the wet instead

Mate, his 2500 is overclocked to 2.4ghz, and he has a gf fx 5950, i think he wins :p
