gp4 does not work on my pc

i have a pentium 4 2.6GHz with s3 prosavageDDR graphics card.

gp4 installs properly but when it caliberates the graphics it jumps back to

windows desktop. i installed the 9.6 patch and it does the same thing.

gp3 works perfectly. please help

it might be your graphic card... hvae you installed new drivers on it?

same prob.... different graphics card. you need to update your graphics card and get the latest directX driver

im suprised ure gfx card handles windows :P

Treat yourself to a GeForce, dirt cheap these days, anything with Nvidia technology will do the trick, like tux said, its a small miracle you can even see windows with an s3 Good luck, try not to break the bank! Cheers.

actually get a radeon 9200 or something (better then nvidia :D)

9200 doesnt support direct9 tho. Fx 5200 does





AMD64 3400+ (running at 2,66ghz atm )DDR400 1gb(running at 433) Asus K8N-E Deluxe mobo, 6800ultra, Tagan tg-480w, Audigy 2Zs, Logitech Z-5500 speakers
Using X-aser Lanfire case with 5 fans inside cathodelights etc included aswell :P

but fx5200 is much slower! :P

Radeon 9100 128 mb is much faster than 9200, and is not more expencive. So, buy that card, it costs around 80

forget buying a geforce card...,with gp4 you'll need more grunt than that
if you want to live to your expectations

If you're on a budget the GF4 MX440 is dit cheap, and the Ti4200 is a good investment too.

Yep,
I vote for Ti4200 as you can pick em up for £60 if you know where to look.

Only the 9500 pro and above is better according to many comparisons I've seen and thats about £100
