Hi all, i have problems...

i have used the search button to try to find a solution, but i could not.

PROBLEM 1:

This pic is ok but

This one was taken just a lil further away. This blurriness happens with all the cars, and it didnt before, does anyone know why? It kinda makes no sense to dl great cars then look crap! Is it to do with my f1graphics.cfg?
[uk.geocities.com]

PROBLEM 2:

What the hell is all that about? yesterday this car was fine, now its a mess. Same with toyota and minardi, and they look different at distance as well:

If anybody could give any help I would be most grateful, i am not very skilled at this stuff so i need advice from those who know!

Cheers, CAT

ah well. geocities is a load of crud.

The basic idea is that as the cars get further away they get more blurred, even seen along the car in the rearward view (pgup)

Also some cars have been corrupted or summat so the textures are not mapped properly.

Thanks 4 the responses guys, sorry about the imgs! See what i mean about not being too good at this stuff!

it cant find 'draw distance' nor can i see anything using draw or distance that can be of use at first glance...

could this be it ?
9 ; Num overdraws for blur effects (eg reflections) Should be one of {2,4,6,9,12,16}

try this line possibly (lines taken from your gfx.cfg)

700; [MAIN VIEW] Distance cull ALL track objects past this distance (overides LOD, 0 => off) v2

also try these:

70; [MAIN VIEW] Car lod : load balance as % of notional max possible number of car polys (at highest LOD) v9
100; [MAIN VIEW] Car lod : maximum LOD (scalar 100=>1) v2
1000; [MAIN VIEW] Car lod : distance at which to cull cars in view (metres) v3
100; [MAIN VIEW] Car lod : scalar

KEWL, i solved one problem, the textures blurred because it used mipmaps

0 ; Number of mipmaps (0 => off) v2 - changed this line from 4 to 0 and it displayed the textures perfectly

But the other problem still remains of the poor low res mapped shapes

THANKS for all your help guys
