Mercedes Engine sound released

We really are restricted by the weird gp4 sound engine. But it does sound really like the onboard videos we have. T-cam might sound weird also because of the lack of gear change sounds in t-cam view, which is frankly, stupid.

Anyway, see what you think.

I,v ejust heard the wav's, and they really sound like the onboards :D

and now, the ingame impressions :

the sounds are very similar to the soud update ones, but a tone lower.

and imo it doesnt sound like the 2003 engine, but like the 2002 engine, Raikkonen Indy version

oh BTW lads! for about the first 2 hours, I forgot to upload the enginedata text files, so if you downloaded in the first 2 hours, you'll have to download it again, sorry :S

But I am a GP3 player and I'd like to know if there's any chance in making new sounds for this game?

Errm, to be honest, I am not sure. Ian might know. My guess is that it wont.

I'm not quite sure, people have varied results, some people's PO goes up, others go down. Just have to test em :|

What physics are you using, as these sounds were tested with 2003 physics

well, I use default physics, but have you ever heard an engine sound that seems to decrease RPM's as they are increasing ? =S

oh btw, the sound update 1.4 works perfectly

I tried myself to edit gp3 sounds, but got no good results.
I'd be happy with simple original gp3 sounds, but with a increased pitch (+ / - 19000 rpm).
This would give nice sounds and no problems with fuel consumption (using 16600 rpm in the physics).
Please guys, there are a LOT of people still playing GP3
