GP3 - GP4 - Win 7 Pro GP4.exe stopped working

Hi I have a Win 7 Pro, 32bit PC with two graphics cards, GTS250, and three Philips 190B monitors.

GP3 runs, after manually selecting the correct video card, previous to this a very distorted screen presented but could race?

GP4 however does not run and I have tried every compatibility setting, including run as administrator as well as adding GP4.exe to DEP under 'performance options'.

When GP4 starts I get the MacroVision logo, a 2/3 screen black (upper left hand side) screen presentation, followed by a mouse pointer for a few seconds then a complete blank (black) screen and the GP4.exe failed to start message then Windows 7 'looking for a solution' message?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards, KH

A black screen is a graphics issue. Is the graphics.cfg enabled? First line to 1, default is 0. Remove one graphics card and test. The resolution set on your monitor may not match the resolutions available to GP4, check the graphics cfg for available res. Set res and force using 1. Example
1 ; f1graphics.cfg controls all settings (default 0)
1920 ; [RELEASE] Game 3D Horizontal Resolution
1080 ; [RELEASE] Game 3D Vertical Resolution
1 ; [RELEASE] Enable 32bit mode if available NB. If Windowed then is forced to desktop format
1 ; [RELEASE] Enable hardware T&L if available
0 ; [RELEASE] Run in a window
0 ; [RELEASE] Number of multisamples if available (0-16 :: 0 => off, 1 unused)
0 ; [RELEASE] Force use of reference rasterizer
0 ; [RELEASE] Vsync (0=>off, or every nth frame) v2
73 ; [RELEASE] AutoPerformance (Automatic Performance Setting)
0 ; [RELEASE] TestedPerformanceLow (Tested Performance Setting)
0 ; [RELEASE] TestedPerformanceHigh (Tested Performance Setting)
1920 ; [DEBUG] Game 3D Horizontal Resolution
1080 ; [DEBUG] Game 3D Vertical Resolution

Starting from gpx_patch? cpu to 0, enable debugging, verbosity high.
