Gp4 crashing so it's back to Gp3(King)

I've had it with Gp4, there are no good easy editors that work properly with it.Mods don't work,must install again gp4 everytime u try a mod.
No new tracks....
i've tried all editors for a long time and usually it get's me nowhere but
installing again gp4. Not any more,gp4 sold...

I mutch more like the good old Gp3 not season 2000 but the first one.
When u have downloaded all user made files (tracks,cars,sounds and other)
and latest gppatch it's very very good!And the processor load only 20-40% to compare to gp4 110-180% so for me Gp3 rules (King) and F1 2002 & 99-02(Prince of darkness)
Amd xp 2400,gf4 ti 4800,512mb,maxtor 7200 rpm 120gb.

Also it's so easy to change seasons in it and i love that weather!
I don't care if all cars look by model the same.

GP4 rules. GP3 doesn't hold a candle to it.

gp3 was the king yes ! gp4 rules now .
but he got a point there. He does the job of someone who never reads the gp4form .
ALWAYS BACKUP THE MOST IMPORTANT FILES !!!!!! CARS.WAD , ANIM.WAD and some other minus files....

Perhaps GP4 is more difficult to update than GP3, but once you know how to do it, it's way better than GP3!

Yeah Gp3 sucks, its back to Gp4 for me. Well i never really left it.

Grand Prix 4 is not a revolution over Grand Prix 3, but more an evolution, as was Grand Prix 3 over Grand Prix 2. And the non-Fully 3d graphics engine GP4 had makes it look almost like sh!te compared to Gp4 (If it works that is)

gp4 is leaps and bounds ahead of gp3


u just need a decent computer to work it plus the 2003 add on which installs new cars, tyres, track upodates in one easy installation

then the game is brilliant

if it works? Mines always worked

I have kept backup files,usually after editing the game crashed or would look silly (missing textures,blinking grafix,slooooooow,lock up)and processor rate would go up to 180% if it worked,this game was not design for mods thats for sure..

When using my backup files,gp4 wouldn't start for some reason usually just a black screen(with locking pc),as a result.
The only way was to copy the hole Gp4(backup) on different harddrive or installing again.

Use high resolution on Gp3,for me it looks great and runs smoothly.
Gp1 & Gp2 where excelent games!
Gp4 if it worked would play at around 14-17 fps and would slow to nothing when it started to rain.Looked more like a frame show 4-8fps.....
Patching game wouldn't help on my problems either.
With my pc specs i would think it would play faster.....

These are just my opinions
and to those that Gp4 works and runs fast,keep on racing and editing.

the main thing to do is go into your windows audio options, and turn right to the minimum your sound performance

then the game runs soo mcuh better

Lol if thats you PC specs there is something else wrong than just a @#$%& up GP4

I have a 2000+ and a GF4 ti 4200 and it runs great.

Same Here, 2000+ and GF4 Ti4200 and i play in 1600*1200 with 150PO on starting grid and around 100 all the (dry) races with around 25fps.
