Controversial or not????

U know wot,

you all talked about my hungary lap being controversial and everything,

but i have noticed how the rules changed from only being penalized 2 points for using driver aids, TO being penalized 2 points PER driver aid.

and you cant tell me this was done in the interests of fairness. i think it was done because it would help Neil close the gap to me.

And i dont remember a forum vote on that rule either.

So dont think i am the only controversial driver here!!

but he should have some rights and the final decision AFTER the question in proposed on the forum!

Mike Halpin likes the idea of third person speech, it makes him feel special...

Actually PAUL, it was 1point PER driver AID never 2 points for all, and when i re did the rules i decided to tweak them a bit , it was only my lousy typing that made it say that.

erm, driver aids dont help at all

Auto gears is much slower in changin up correctly, and with manual gears u can brake later using engine braking

Auto brakes are crap, and u can get better runs out of corners without TC.

Steering help is too restirctive and you can go much faster with it taking much better lines through corners!

ellis - u r correct,

but it is hard not to make any mistakes when u use NO aids

and i am quicker with aids, so i use them

also, i use a combination of TC and manual throttle, sometimes i might turn it off while exiting a corner etc.

i have it hooked up to the button on my steering wheel

trust me, its harder not to make mistakes WITH aids because i push 100% to the limit

when i have aids all off, i dont push as hard as i will crash immediately

learn to push 100% with no aids you ye shall be great.

but i will need lots of practise!

i only use my time now for hotlapping.

I think i changed it to 2 points when i found out Ville and Fabio were using Steering help. but thats been resolved now.

I still think 2 points should be per driver aid because at nurburgring i tried without TC and then with TC and went someting like 1 second faster, i know im not the best driver, i find it hard to drive non TC with the way my computer and Steering wheel are setup.

Paul, you know you are arguing WHY there should be 2 points per driver aid now right?

Ellis is right though if you can drive without aids it is faster, but only if you can do it.

me thinks that over the winter period, i will practice everyday doing hotlap without driver aids!

so come the start of next season, i will use NO aids
