2000 carshapes by enzojz

Hi everybody,
in february 2006 Enzojz released all the 2000 carshape (except sauber) of the 2000 season.
He wrote these carshapes had to be painted by hi-skilled carpainters. Then 2 fantastic cars, ferrari & mclaren, were released but the mod became a rfactor mod.
So I decided to start practicing in carpainting with the missing cars. Obviuosly I had - and still have - to learn a lot to get to hi-level results but my work is not too bad, exspecially if compared with the 2000 mod converted from f1ch.
I painted all the cars except jaguar and bar and seems I'll have always less time to dedicate to complete this very long work I started some years ago.
I was wondering if someone else has painted some of these cars for personal use -as I did - and if is interested to share these missing cars.

I read something about the leeching question: if my request is considered "leeching" - but I don't think it is 'cause everything is for personal use - I can remove this post without any problem.

As far as i know, no-one else has done this. Maybe you should consider contacting Enzojz and ask him for permission to release.

Really amazing, you should definetly consider contacting Enzojz as I'm sure you could get any help needed from users here to get this mod completed. Would be awesome to finally get a 2000 season in Grand Prix 4.

so you started practicing in carpainting? looks like the original emac liveries cut n shut on to the cars to me, especially on the arrows.
You can obviously map but they would look much better with hi-quality textures.

yes matt, you are quite right. When I started (2 years ago) I took original f1ch texture to learn how to map.
I painted in this order williams, jordan and partially arrows using these textures, replacing some logo with hi-res ones.
These cars are not so good because of low-res texture and beacuse of lack of experience in mapping.
Then I tried mapping with hi-res textures made by myself, so it was with benetton (with some help from prblanco 2001 benetton texture), minardi and prost. These last cars are not bad in my opinion but still very far from the great hi-quality standard this community gets everyday. And I never learned how to manage alpha layer well! For these reasons I don't think these cars deserve more attention.
But, as I said, my problem seems to be lack of time not only to continuing in learnig but also to complete this work.
That's why I decided to post this message, to give my work a chance to be finished...and played! I don't play gp4 since decades because the few time I got is spended only to finish this project....and I can't see the end.

All the 2000 Carshapes have been released, but currently only the Ferrari and McLaren have been mapped and painted.
