but one queries, maybe its my game but i am getting laps 20 secs slower than the fastest lap on the loading screens

well, maybe you've got the old stuff that tended to have problems and is fixed in the new mod, orits just due to differences in tracks.
so either wait for the new set, or edit the loading screens ;)

as for BHP, i think i've got about 850 race and 1000 qualify. the torque curve hasn't been tweaked though and there was a mix of turbo and normal, so physics is many compromises

a few more quick track textures from *ahem* paul ricard and *ahem* adelaide.
just sorting the ini's so these track textures all work.
although there's a porblem with the set not restoring properly, so i might need ZAZ before i can release the beta

see the new sarting light system ;)

b-tone are you doing a tracks.set for this also because i have my tracks in 2004 order and therefore the old 1988 mod doesnt like loading tracks which have changed order like brazil, indy, europe

quick question here, can the tyre shine be decreased, or at least made more black? Reminds of the GP3 tires, which scares me :| :p

Also, I know I wrote tire 2 different ways ;)

Gui - probably but i can't be bothered now - i'll see how final testing goes ;)

MM - I just done Suzuka and the fastest lap in a 3 race quickie was about 1:48, compared to 1:46 on the loading screen so i guess its right now.

Zaz - theres a problem with making the CMI: uxtheme.dll missing

heres a few more quick screens from suzuka, just now waiting for Zaz and its ready :)

There were pit stands in 1988, but they were'nt as big - just a singla canopy, for example.

oopsy
silly bug.
it's because you use win2k and it tries to draw the theme on the progressbar :/
and versions earlier than xp don't have the dll file because they don't support themes. and i probably forgot to write the windows version check for the cmi exporting part :)
anyway.. i'll fix it now and you have the update when you wake up/come home from work - whatever :P

1988 looks great btw

[edit]
fixed :-o
i'm fast :P

yep, the first was Hockenheim :P

most tracks seem to have umbrellas or very basic pitstands, so rather than repaint them all it was just easier to make them disapear for now. when i get round to doing track,s i'll make them more realistic

Zaz - there was a virus.....

having beta tested this mod it is really great and fans of 1988 (not me ;)) but people who wanna race mansell, senna, patrese, prost and the rest (definately me;)) should download the mod when it comes out

that just my two pennies worth :)
