HOT LAP ...Rules????

ok i tried my first hotlaps for the competion on silverstone
and i was shocked
i got
1.19.948
i saw the drivers laps and there is no way i am tow secondes slower than the leader
i think there is soemthing wrong with me understanding the rules

1-do i use the defaulte physics of the gp4 game
2-about the tweaker what is the tyre grip on surface i should use
.....i used 100% is it right

yes and yes...... its tough...... these guys are good! I was chuffed with my 1:18:956 (on keyboard)..... still a whole second behind gian..... still waiting to see his hotlap tho

i do nearly perfect laps
so i must be ..me getting wrong the rules
or them having a superior setup

when i set the time above i was using the 2003 physics
when i used the default physics i got
1,22,503
thats means i am 5 secs behind

yep thats right........ its wierd..... coz ive just started using carset manager, i savced the default physics file, but it only gave me 845bhp when i should have 855. But just keep the bhp at 855 and weight above 605kg and thats it i think.

are you using the default setup?? although it feels nice, it really isnt fast at all.

but anyone can chane tyre grip valuers in the phyiscs ediotre
wich makes a hell of a diffirence in lap time

if tyre grip is changbel and any one can put the values he want
the whol hot lap C is very silly

but thats what the checksums are there for, to stop people from changing the physics..... which includes the tyre-grip. Not everyone in the comp is that bad...... setups really do make a hell of a difference, whether you can use them or not.

if i could remmeber i could only do 21s with default setup, thats why i didnt stay with that

and i drive the williams and i put the williams as 855

but i am realy in a hurry its getting late
and i am realy excited like a little girl for the competion

the rules says use default setup.

You are also meant to use the performance file from there aswell, only changing the names.

I'll let somebody else answer the rest of ya questions
