Maybe I'll have a go at this Hot Lp Competition, but only this Saturday (maybe), since I'm going to Brazil to visit my family.
What is the latest time possible to send the laptimes? Are all the rules and any other questions about HLC explained on the site? Do I need my own team, car and helmet?
Thanks for the answers Korn and Fábio (I'll catch up on the championship with you), and everyone else.
@Korn: F1C on PS2 is completely different from PC.

Since I use keyboards (no money for wheel), I'll have slower times right?
Maybe I'll have to play the role of Rubens and give way to fellow countryman to win the races....
;)

do you guys use 7th gear? I always enable it, and it might not change anything, but I think it's better to have 7...any comments?

yes i use 7 gears,

but to be honest, on a short track like monaco, hungary etc. 6 gears is just as good as 7.

but on this long track, on the long straights it is better to use 7

@powerhorse

do you know that in second chicane the second kerb is very wide right??
can we go over that kerb with all the car??
it's a kerb and not grass..

basically you can use the extra track on the inside of the corners, but you need to have 2 wheels on the kurb

on the outside of the track u can use as much as u like!

my 1:35.568 is marginally legal as i JUST have 2 wheels on the chicane before the stadium section.

but korn_freak did the same thing at magny, so my lap can stand here

I have not very much time to drive hotlaps. I did 1.37.1xx three days ago but I can go much faster.

hey Guimengo.... I thought you live in Rio de Janeiro!!!! Where do you live????

you don´t need to create a team, helmet and stuff... just make the hotlap, as long as you are inside the rules, everything is fine!!!!! Time closes at 24:00 of 10th August (Sunday, midnight) GMT....

okay powerhorse, I´m not hiding anything, it´s just no one asked me my laptimes so far.... heheheh....
my best is 1:35.6xx so far.... we are close, this round is gonna be competitive again, hope I can improve!!!!

cool fcarmo!

we are in for a close fight.

ru u using all the extra kurbing!!! i am!

if i am lucky i reckon i might be able to break the 1:34 barrier, but i will have only 1 chance, and after that i will prob. never be able to get close again!

@Fábio:
I live in Naperville, Illinois , about 40 minutes away from Chicago. USA (or EUA).
I was born and raised in the city of Rio de Janeiro. I moved from there at age 15, in October 18 2000. Now I'm going to college at Northern Illinois, close to Naperville.
And I'm going today (Friday August 1) to Brazil to visit my family.
BTW, I came close to playing for Flamengo, but I had to move :( Now I'll try my luck in college.
Better now? :)

wish you good luck m8!!!!

my splits are 29.2xx.... 57.6xx.... and I did a 1:35.2xx a few hours ago!!!!
