I had a look at the transparent cockpit window that you made a while ago and saw how you did this.

[grandprix3.com]

Is it possible to make a whole car transparent by following these steps? I have opened up the arrows textures and deleted the contents of the channels in Photoshop, but when in game they are just white. Do you have any ideas as to why?

Cheers

JPM

only textures associated with certain objects use alpha channel this way, most shapes use alpha channel to control reflectivity, perhaps try mappin whole car to a transparent part of a texture which is in the cockpits folder, ie steering_wheel_display etc, might work but probably not, i think its something in the shape file that causes gp4 to use the alpha channel 1 way or the other.

Shuttle has able to create transparent window.
Read again a thread about Ellis' DTM.

But i dunno about transparent window for main cockpit view.

In reality, doesn't matter who's right but most important is who's left.
