Hi Guys:

Well as the subjects says i did a simulation of a v8 engine with 2006 phisics included in this package. I think they are very nice files and i hope you guys like too. All this work is mine. Its not based from anyones else work.

It would be nice to get some feedback.

EDITE: LINK DELETED

I hope all of you like it.:)

Kind Regards

Jorge Caranti :)

Thanks I look forward to trying them out, can I ask what changes have you made to the actual physics file?

Mmh, in your file the rpm is lower, while with the new engines the rpm are around 21-22000...

I think the cars will have less rpms than what you say. Probably 19-20000. But dont worry i am still working on it. Its not the final version.

Whould you have a go on it on any track? :) I need feedback.

Cheers.

I feels nice, a little restricting on the accelerator as you would expect
i only tested on monaco so really didnt get the best feel of it but it seems good
possibly too much grip though

I only tested it in Monza, as regards the accelerator yes the sensation seems compatible with the new engines, the only thing I'm not sure is, as I said, the rpm, but I don't know about the grip, I mean, I don't know what the grip in 2006 in reality will be like...anyway absolutely good start ;)

Schumacher said the cars have too much grip compared to the engine power, so I really think the grip is ok....

maybe the RPM yes... but isnt it dependend to the engine power in GP4? *-)

I hope it isn't, but it's not terrible if the cars don't reach 21000, we can always adjust our rev metres and sound to let ACT GP4 to have 21000 RPM??

considering the V8, the laptimes in tests are comparable to the 2002/2003 season...
soon it arrives in the current levels of V10 engine!

@ jcaranti

Mate great job, I think your grip is very good because the reality is that the cars are as fast as last year (some tracks) with less BHP so grip needs to increase like in real life with the softer tyres they are using. Good job.

Hi guys thanks for the review.

I was thinking to lower a little more the car BHP and put more RPM.
I think is better this way.
Anyway its my first try. And i didnt have much information and opinions of it.

kind Regards

I reckon you have the BHP levls close to perfect. I read somewhere that Renault where hoping to hit bahrain with 750BHP so I think you are pretty accurate with your figures. I also heard they are expecting to hit 800BHP at the end of the season as the RPM's increase they will find more power.

If you say BHP its ok, then i should put some more RPM and see what happends.
Thanks for the info of renault. I should keep in mind this.

Yes that can be a good solution with the sound and rev meter,
but i want to try a couple of things first before getting to this point.
About the RPM i was going to try 17000 - 18000 in the game and see what reaction of the car. I think that could get a more pitched sound and it could sound more like a engine running at 20000 rpm.

Ill do some test again, if i like it ill share the files with you guys again. :)

Cheers :)

Just tested:)
The sensation is positive, the grip seems ok! But I tested it at Monza, and with default setup I reached a top speed of 335km/h and I made a best time of about 1'25", aren't they a bit too slow? Then I found a tendence to understeer, but that's just my opinion,it may be due to the way I like to drive, am I wrong? :)
also a few spelling mistakes:
Mercedes not Mercedez
Raikkonen not Raikkonnena

Yeah and some other spelling mistakes
Liuzzi not Luizzi
Nico not Niko
Super Aguri Honda not Super Aguri Toyota
And the tyres are wrong..;)
