Hey everyone, I was wondering if someone can help, I have put Excalibur's 2023 wheels into my GP4 and followed the installation to the letter but the wheels are in the wrong position. I have tried with gp4 tweak to sort it out to no avail. Can someone help me out and tell me how to fix it please?

This will depend on the mod your using as base or is it just a cars.wad?
If it is a csm mod then look into the tweaker settings something called tyreposition.ini or something similar to that.

It is just the cars wad as I have no experience with csm at the moment

I am guessing you are using just 1 shape as i saw in the other topic so for this reason i will recommend Team Editor 3.5 by Lo2k.
If you dont have lt i can provide a link(Y)

Hi!

If you are using gp4tweaker:

1-Check your tyres positions again into the tyrepos.ini file from your gp4tweak_data folder.
Be sure that the coordinates are set for the good cars (slot 11 for me so, car 21 and car 22)

2- Check that the TyrePos is enabled into the gp4tweak.ini file. This file must be into your main Grand Prix 4 folder if you don't use CSM mods:
TyrePos = 1 ; set to 1 to enable tyre position tweak

Thank you my friend, I will take another look at my tweaker settings also :) I noticed my formatting on the ini files are a little corrupted so that may be the problem

Excalibur, I have tried that multiple times this evening and I just cannot get that sucker to work, Do I need to reinstall tweaker or something? Maybe start a brand new set of .ini files?

The problem concerns only this car or all the cars?

On a side note, should I be using the actual gp4 tweaker program for this or just the ini files? I have tried using the program itself but cannot seem to get it to point to another gp4.exe

And now i've broken something totally and don't know what...Gets to the last part of loading screen and game crashes. Possibly need to start again from scratch.

If you are using only the RSCT23 with different liveries, you can also use TeamEditor 3.5 by Lo2k: the tyres setting are the same for all the cars when applied.

If you are using different carshapes into your cars.wad, reinstall gp4tweaker_v1045_Reloaded
Read the instructions carefully:
1- Put the gp4tweak.dll file into your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder
2- Into your main Grand Prix 4 folder, put the gp4tweak_data folder and the gp4tweak.ini file (from the extra/ config template folder of the archive)
3- Put the gp4_exe_patch.exe file into your main Grand Prix 4 folder (from the extra folder of the archive) and click on this file to apply the patch.

Then, edit your tyrepos.ini file and your gp4tweak.ini file to enable tyre position tweak.

Why don't you change the tyre positions in TeamEditor? It's much easier than changing with GP4Tweaker or ini-files.

Thank you for all the help and advice guys. I used team editor in the end and works out just fine.
