Specs for running mods

I've been around 3-4 months without GP4, and I'm thinking to buy a very cheap laptop to run GP4 on, with mods. I've maybe around 150Gb worth on my current laptop that I want to run. I'm curious as to what you guys recommend as ideal specs or even minimum specs to run the game somewhat smooth. I remember running GP4 over a decade ago on my old Compaq Presario, and it seemed to run OK. Obviously I'm looking for laptops with an SSD (bad memories of buying a second-hand HDD laptop), but I'm unsure when it comes to things like CPU or RAM, what ideal benchmarks for mods are.

Looking forward to your guys expert opinions & to getting back into the game, especially with the latest 2000-spec cars I've seen

GP4 was built for x86 architecture at the base but now, a patch allows the game to handle more than 2Gb ram, until 4Gb.
So, with recent tracks, cars, helmets and graphics, HD/ 4k textures, I would recommend at least :
- 4 to 8Gb ram
- A 4Gb Graphic card (2Gb CG seems to run the games smooth with good graphics settings for some mods)
- CPU with 4 to 6 cores/ threads, 3,30Ghz to 3,70Ghz

Just my personal opinion for minimum spec with nowadays GP4 graphics/ files/mods.
Good settings into the graphics.ini file may also improve graphics/ performances. It is a good compromise to find.

Maybe you will find helpful informations here: [www.grandprixgames.org]
And also feedback or others members configs for a laptop and F1 mods users.

;-)

I had this too, and it fixed when I removed the visor overlay

I bought an Acer Nitro 5 some 4 years ago. It's a gaming laptop for around 1000 euros and GP4 runs like a charm.

1000 Euros is a bit over my limit, considering its just for GP4. I'm looking more at second hand for around 120 Euros tbh, maybe pushing 150
