having trouble with painting .tex files

Hi, me again. So... I recently figured out how the tex/tga files work. Sort of. But despite following all advice to the best of my abilities, every paint scheme I've made with my software (GIMP, since I don't have the money for photoshop) breaks upon the CSM mod (F1 1993) loading up, giving me a pure white car. Granted, that looks accurate for the McLambo test car, but not good on everything else.

If there's anyone who can help me out, that would be very much appreciated.

For context, I do a YouTube series and was going to make a cursed moment where none of the cars have any sponsors. Kinda making them look like test cars. I dunno if this is the correct texture file, since I'm too busy to double check.

Will have a look next time I'm on PC. Do you use slimtex for converting?

The texture you uploaded is only 630 bytes or somethings wrong with the link?

I can't remember actually.

Yeah, whatever that is you uploaded, it's not a tex file. So there's your issue. The tga file you painted wasn't converted to tex properly.

Oh. So there isn't actually a problem with the actual paint itself?

I've got no idea since I couldn't see that. As said, the file is no proper tex file, so I couldn't open it in the slimtex viewer. I'd assume that the painted tga file is fine, and something went wrong when you converted it to tex. You'd have to upload the tga too if you wanted me to check that.

Ah. Will do, if I still have it. Sorry if this is all a pain for anyone here. Like I said before, very new to this stuff.
Okay, I don't. But I think I can replicate what it was I was initially doing.

Yeah, I think you might also getting trouble with white cars when you are not selecting in the section "Macros"the option "Cars" for cars textures or "Helmet_1" for helmet textures.

This information is only for people who might get the same problem as well and come across with this post.
