P7 without boosts isn't too bad. Hopefully I can stay in the points for the race.
What’s the deal with wet qualifying sessions these couple of races? And I always end up at the bottom

GPGSL Round 12 - Belgian GP - Spa - Race

Welcome back to race day here at Spa, championship leader Gustavo will start at the pole position today with O'Neill by his side.

They're ready to go

It's lights out and Gustavo with a good reaction so far

At the middle of the pack, Buitenhuis goes airborne, not something he was expeting for this race, but his car seems to be okay

Gustavo makes the first turn in 1st place

But O'Neill is right behind him

Side by side now

Pedersen is watching thia battle hoping for a small gap

O'neill seems to have the upper hand

Pedersen may have found the small gap he was looking for

There he goes

He may even have a chance on taking the lead

And there he goes, Pedersen is the new leader of the race

Moinet is also really close to them

At the end of the first lap, Ancevski breaks too late

And he hits Elleker, who spins

Elleker returns in last place, he for sure must be very upset with Ancevski's maneuver

Caranti overtakes Moinet for the 4th place

Brickles, who is fighting for the championship, overtakes Majumdar to take the 6th place for himself

Buitenhuis, another championship contender, is in 10th place so far

Szucs in 18th, being followed by the BRTs and Sakata

Sakata overtakes Sheppard

After 3 laps, how the top 10 has changed since the start of the race

Silva runs off wide

Hinz and Parachki both overtake Silva and are now fighting for the 12th place

Hinz takes the 12th place, and Stoddart overtakes Silva

Buitenhuis tries an overtake on Ancevski

And he goes through

Szucs is overtaken by Keranen

A little mess at the back of the grid right now

Szucs get some positions back and he is now in front of De Los Rios

He also overtakes Silva

Elleker overtakes Sheppard as he is trying to get back in the points

But not for long, as he goes off track

And spins, dropping to last place

Stoddart goes off track

And is overtaken by De Bruyker

And also by Szucs

Buitenhuis brakes too late and hits Karda

He spins and Karda goes off track

Karda manages to keep his 8th place

While Buitenhuis returns in last, this mistake may cost him the championship

Gustavo and Caranti are getting close to O'Neill

Keranen overtakes Silva

Szucs overtakes Ancevski for the 13th place

Stoddart also overtakes him

Silva also overtakes Acevski and De Los Rios is the next on line

But Ancevski is able to hold him, while Keranen also lost some places is this mess

Hinz is the first one to stop

Moinet goes off by himself

And he must now wait for the whole pack to pass by, and we can also see that come parts of the track are wet

He returns in last place

Pedersen returns in 4th place with tryres for a dry track

While Beggani decides to go with a wet track tyres

The same for O'Neill

Gustavo also goes for the wet tyres

Pedersen may found himself in some trouble as the track is slowly getting wetter

End of race for Moinet

He had a transmission problem

O'Neill goes off track

This means the track may be wetter than expected

And of race for O'Neill, such a shame, he was having a very good race

De Bruyker also spins

And returns in 16th, missing the entry for the garage

Sakata goes off track

And returns just in front of Buitenhuis

This sends Buitenhuis flying,

Sakata crashes into the wall after the accident with Buitenhuis

He returns to the middle of the track, and Keranen can't avoid some contact, loosing his front wing

End of race for the Japanese

Keranen is able to control his car

And is able to continue in 18th place, but he will need to visit the garage to fix his wing

Buitenhuis returns in 19th place

After the round of pitstops, here are the standings

Race leader Pedersen will try to finish with dry tyres

The same goes for Caranti, who now sits in 3rd

Hinz and Parachki too

Keranen returns to the garage to fix his wing

Stoddart overtakes Parachki

Majumdar spins

Beggani is right behind him

Close call between the Tyrants

Hinz and Karda also overtake Majumdar

And Karda also overtakes his teammate

Szucs overtakes Parachki, he's a sitting duck there with those tyres

The same goes for Pedersen as Gustavo is getting closer to him

And the Brazilian takes the lead

Parachki goes off wide

Spins and is facing backwards

He returns in 15th place

Brickles overtakes Caranti for a place in the podium

Majumdar overtakes Hinz, for sure the slick tyres are paying a price out there

Stoddart also overtakes him

Ancevski retires with a transmission problem

Szucs also overtakes Hinz

Silva goes off track

And loses one place for De Los Rios

Hinz goes off track

And sees himself out of the points

Beggani overtakes Caranti

Pedersen goes off track

And drops to 3rd

Gustavo wins the Belgian gp, good strategy with the tyres choiche by his team

Brickles in second to keep his championship hopes alive

And Pedersen finishes in 3rd

Very disappointing race, the car had some good pace, if not for a few errors I think I'd have been up there fighting for the podium. Great race by my teammate, just a shame the tyre choice didn't quite work out for him.

P2 - Very happy with that one, pitting later onto wets helped massively.
What a @#$%& strategy on my end, good for Szucz, though.

Congratulations to the race winner, earned the disputed great prize - the Goodyear 100% eco friendly Hot Jacuzzi!

I really thought Pedersen's tyre gamble would pay off if the track were drying but it actually got wetter, bad luck

Strat 10th and after too many mistakes finishing in 11th isn´t that bad...

Sorry, for Eric. He deserved a much better end of race...

5th in the race and in qualify :-)
Big gamble to stay out with dry tyres.
Finally some points after many months !!!.

During so well at the start but then the rain came and the race for me came to a terrible end. At least Luis got a point in 10th.
That’s a good podium for Michael. Jacks strategy didn’t work today but we keep going.

GPGSL - Christel VXR team Boss S6-S8, S12 Onwards

That strategy cost me massively, pit stop too early and wrong tyres fitted.

Thanks for the great coverage :-)

used to be GPGSL's Nick Heidfeld
Natã did you forget my boost?

I did have great perfs and its just like you forgot to put them in the race.
All other racers who had less perfs are all in front of me...
I'm totaly not amused :-(
And that on my home grandprix.

Grtz from Belgium,

Marcus
