Points system.

I was wondering. Right now I am playing a championship in the original, unmodded game, and I am using realistic settings except for the fact that I do not have activated the false starts. I am doing this championship with my fellow Catalan Pedro de la Rosa, which in 2001 did race with Jaguar (therefore my username).

I can get fairly decent positions in each race, due to the Jaguar of that year being basically fast but unreliable. However, in the first race in Australia I have finished just in the zone below the points, that is, 7th.

So my question is, is it possible to change the points system in the original game? How do do so if possible?
