Grand Prix 4 Installer [updated 17/01/2024]

Oh I need this TY so MUCH!

Hi there,

Having an issue with CSM where I get the insert disk error - historically I just mount the ISO file, however, there is NO iso file to mount in my folder for GP4 of CSM, including searching the entire drive using windows explorer.

Can someone please advise how can I play GP4 again? Any fixes are welcome

Hi there,

Sadly after a few days it is once again requesting the CD in order to launch. I have quadruple checked there is no ISO. I have even removed the no-cd patch and reinstalled it from both the save and PC

Any suggestions are welcome pleas

After mounting the disk again it is now taking me to the program files when I try and open CSM and when I opened the GPxPatch it says

"Unknown or unsupported GPx version"

I have since uninstalled and reinstalled - it is still demanding at all times for me to put a CD in the drive - I have tried to mount the only ISO file dozens of times but it then says it needs to "open the file" and takes me to the windows explorer file in downloads

I have added the no-cd patch to no avail

Furthermore, the CSM application will only open the once, after I try and fail to launch (CD required) it does not open again and I have to restart my laptop

Any takers as to what the hell I have done wrong? Baring in mind I have done a full uninstall & reinstall here

Ciao ho scaricato e installato la tua opera ma funziona solamente per il gioco originale,quando apro il CSM per giocare alla Mod 1989 e voglio guidare mi da errore nella GPx.Path e mi va in crash. Windows 11.

Hello Sir, can I install this on windows 11? I did tried it multiple times but I always get the same error, DirectX 8.1 error. Please help Sir, thanks much.

I had the same problem here with Windows 11, but if you load the game directly by clicking on the GP4.exe in the GP4 folder the game loaded without the error.

I've updated the installer with the latest version of ZaZ Tools (1.27c). Same link, first post.

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?

It works except the Zaztools which is detected as a virus and does not let me add to the exception list, it says it is a trojan. Also CSM keeps asking me for an original exe after playing any mod. Help plz. Windows 11.

EDITED: No help needed anymore. Installed another anti-virus and solved.

Hi, I am fairly new at this. How do I install properly? By following the initial steps on the image in the first post, or just run the installer and I'm done?

just run the steps as shown in the installer. gpxpatch and zaz tools are optional but highly recommended if you want to install mods.
to run the game you must:
a) either have a physical cd/dvd-drive or;
b) mount any iso (like the iso from the installer or any other iso)

Thank you so much for the excellent installer. It makes it a breeze. I am enjoying getting back to GP4. After following the installer sequence GP4 starts fine from GPx menu. I have encountered one quirk tho. When I restart my computer and go to GPx to start the game it calls for a cd. If I reinstall GPx patch 4.52, GP4 will start normally again from GPx menu. Any thoughts?

I tried to download it a few times but every time halfway through the download it asks me to insert disc 2. Could you please help me?
