Rosberg has to sit out this weekend due to food poisoning, which was discovered early in the morning, meaning Neel Jani will fill him in. We wish Nico a speedy recovery. From what we can see, he’s doing decently.

Toro Rosso

We expect similar performance like in the previous race, so not much to hope for in qualifying

Looks like a good pace from Nick. We might expect a tight battle involving us and among the others in qualifying. Jose kinda far off from the grand-scheme of things but it's fine overall.

Spyker

Andre looks to be improving quite fine as we hoped for. Hopefully if we go for a good result we might be at least going for something.

Another tricky session for both drivers, beginning to hurt us how far off the pace they both are

A bad day for us, our drivers will have to work hard to gain positions.

Toro Rosso

We hope Kobayashi can have a good start tomorrow.

Great qualifying for both cars inside the top 8 - chance for Robert to score his first points of the season

Brilliant quali for Sato again, both drivers are on song starting in the top 10, hoping we can score our first double points of the season.

Obviously you have to question whats going on with Alonso and Montoya today as well, to be that far ahead of the field is quite astonishing given how tight things have been this season.

Very good qualifying from Felipe in P3. It doesn't look quite good for Nick though whose just outside top 10. Hopefully we have a good race from there to score good points.

Spyker

Not quite of a good qualifying to expect from us. We might be in a damage limitation unless if anything dramatic happens.

2006 European Grand Prix

Hello and welcome to the 2006 European Grand Prix. A wet qualifying threw up a few surprises yesterday but what will the race bring? Let's find out.

Lap 1/60

It's lights out and away we go.

Massa makes a great start from 3rd and takes the lead!

Contact at the back as Di Resta runs into the back of Vettel.

Woah! Massive crash towards the back as Allmendinger hits the back of Di Resta.

Both drivers are out of the race.

Sebastian Vettel pits.

Lap 2/60

Hamilton looks for an overtake on Sato.

There's contact and Sato is forced very wide by Hamilton.

This allows Button through past both into 5th.

Whilst Sato drops to 10th.

What a shame. A loose wheel ends Neel Jani's outing with the Red Bull team.

A quick look at the order after that early chaos.

Lap 3/60

Kubica overtakes Heidfeld for P7.

Trulli runs wide coming out of turn 1.

His car bounces on the kerb sending him into a spin.

Hamilton goes spinning off the track.

He rejoins in 18th and to make matters worse the stewards have given him a 5 second time penalty for his collision with Sato.

Lap 4/60

Montoya passes Alonso for 2nd as Button sets a new fastest lap.

Villeneuve allows Sato through into 8th. Was that team orders at play?

Lap 6/60

Button dives down the inside of Barrichello for 4th.

Lap 8/60

Sato into 7th with a pass on Nick Heidfeld.

Heidfeld hits the back of the Japanese driver.

Lap 9/60

Sato stays 7th.

Heidfeld drops down to 18th.

Lap 10/60

Alonso spins the Renault.

Calamity for Renault as Barrichello hits his teammate!

Alonso is out.

Barrichello will need to pit.

Lap 12/60

Raikkonen makes a move on Villenueve for 6th.

Lap 13/60

Montoya is putting real pressure on Massa for the lead.

Lap 17/60

Montoya takes the lead!

Lap 18/60

The battle of the Schumacher's as Ralf passes his brother Michael.

Lap 19/60

A lap later and Ralf passes Villeneuve for 5th. Both drivers have yet to pit.

Lap 22/60

Heidfeld runs wide in the Williams.

Lap 23/60

Montoya is being held up by Raikkonen.

Lap 24/60

He makes his move to go into 2nd.

Lap 26/60

Kobayashi and Kovalainen touch at the first corner. Kobayashi drops a place because of it.

Lap 30/60

Here's the current order at half-race distance.

Vettel looks for an overtake on Hamilton.

The two collide!

Vettel spins and ends up last.

Hamilton continues in 15th.

Lap 33/60

Sato passes Kubica for 4th.

Lap 37/60

Kovalainen has a spin in the Jaguar.

Lap 40/60

Vettel goes off in the Ferrari.

Lap 42/60

A suspension failure ends Ralf Schumacher's race and BMW Sauber's hopes of a first point.

Lap 49/60

A double DNF for Toro Rosso as a loose wheel ends Kobayashi's race.

Lap 50/60

The order with 10 laps to go.

Lap 51/60

Michael Schumacher passes Trulli for 9th.

Lap 57/60

A look at the position changes from the grid.

Michael Schumacher passes Villenueve for 8th.

Lap 60/60

Sato passes Raikkonen for 4th on the last lap. He just couldn't hang on with his worn tyres.

Juan-Pablo Montoya wins the European Grand Prix.

Massa comes home 2nd.

With Button 3rd.

Could’ve been much better.

Toro Rosso

We could’ve finished in a good position.

Felipe made a fantastic start but later he couldn't hold on for 1st from Montoya. Nick has had his terrible race after colliding with Sato but did recover nicely. Just not what he wanted to satisfy in front of German crowds today.

Spyker

We already knew it'll be damage limitation for us as we predicted yesterday. However it's an ok result for Timo, although we have so much work to do ahead.

Very convincing lap time from Nick again. Jose also manages to improve greatly today. It's gonna be a close fight ahead and hopefully we get a good result in qualifying.

Spyker

Good signs for us. We are somewhat still in a difficult position at the moment but it could set up things interesting ahead of qualifying. We hope for something good here.

Not the best of sessions

Toro Rosso

A great lap from Jani, but we shouldn’t expect much.

What a lap from Kimi, we didn’t expect such a performance from him. Rosberg should improve a lot.

Toro Rosso

It wasn’t a surprise, maybe we’ll manage to finish in the top 15

Yikes, that's gotta hurt us. Our pace in quali wasn't very good at all today, and it puts us right in a difficult place to fight for points. It's going to be challenging.

Spyker

Andre with a surprising P9 to split the Williams cars is an amazing stuff. Hopefully with a bit of good luck maybe we can score points from here.
