Reverse Gear with Practise/ Zaandvoort Track-wad

Strange problem. On two laptops, W7 and W11, any car other than a Ferrari goes into Reverse when space bar is pressed to leave pits?? As I'm using keyboard, I have all the assists switched on.
Also, trying to find a Zandvoort circuit?? And pretty new at this, so first time trying to replace one of the 17. I'm using GPxPatch.exe.

Friend, by default the GP4 controls the gears up and down only on the spacebar. What guides the gear to go up or down is whether you accelerate or not. Try setting the keys and switch gears down to CRLT for example, it should do.

About the tracks, most of them are in the Grand Prix 4 Data Base, you can find this topic easily with these keywords on google.
