Tyre logo for McLaren in GPxPatch

Right now, Im using GPxPatch v4.52.

I remember that on older versions, you could change which tyre logo McLaren should have on the TV overlays, B for Bridgestone or M for Michelin.
That feature seems to be missing with newer versions of GPxPatch and McLaren always have B for Bridgestone. Is there a way to get around that?

Yo can define it under the [Tyres] section in the sat.ini file of gpxpatch.

You have to add this.

Already there is this defined:
Type1=digital_m
Type2=digital_b

(or the other way round)


Example [Tyres] section:
Team#00=0
Team#01=1

0 = type1
1 = type2

No, that did not seem to work

Strange, because I remember (if I remember correctly) that you could change this in the GPxPatch program before starting the game. I know I've changed it atleast, and it was easy

yes, they can. But I can't choose type for McLaren slot. McLaren has a rim/tyre slot of their own and it's B for Bridgestone as standard and I can't change it.
If I switch places for Type1 and Type2, McLaren gets the right tyrelogo but every other team gets the wrong one

McLarens tyre slot can be changed through performance editor (like team editor) this could help with that type1 and type2 problem, but then could face a problem for not having Enkei rims.

For like all seasons were McLaren slot does not use Bridgestone.

97 (Ferrari, Ferrari BBS Rims with Goodyear tyres)
98 (Ferrari, Ferrari BBS Rims with Goodyear tyres)
02 (McLaren, McLaren Enkei rims with Michelin tyres)
03 (McLaren, McLaren Enkei rims with Michelin tyres) (I have McLaren in this spot for 03-04 so they get correct rims)
04 (McLaren, McLaren Enkei rims with Michelin tyres)
05 (BAR, BAR BBS rims with Michelin tyres)
06 (McLaren, McLaren Enkei rims with Michelin tyres)

McLaren slot seems to be set to have Bridgestone all the time, but I really feel that I've changed it in the past. But, back then I may not have been caring about the right rims.

*Also another question! How do I make the Classic TV overlay to fit the screen properly? Right now, the overlay ends on both sides before it should

About your second question, i think you must add Scale=1 at the classic overlay section in the gpxsat.ini

The teams using the McLaren slot in those season is the one's I listed before

Scale=1 did not make any difference Im afraid

Hmm can't remember for sure, but I think for Mclaren tyre was supposed to be 2 instead of 0 or 1, as it was seperate from Michelin and Bridgestone. I'm unable to see it or try this with my own pc until tuesday.

You missed the space between Team and # in the [Tyres] section

I solved the tyre logo!!!

Okay, I first put the space between Team and # as Kedy said, nothing changed.

I then changed Team 01 (McLaren) to 2 instead of 1 as Vesa suggested. That did not work, but instead of B for Bridgestone there was none at all. So I changed it to 0 instead and M for Michelin came up!

Now I would just like to get the TV overlay to cover the bottom of the screen properly, as it did in real life

As Ruben said before

0 = type1
1 = type2

If you look in the Classic, Digital and Digital2004 sections, type1 is always set to Michelin, type2 to Bridgestone. Type3 (=2) isn't defined, so you don't get any logo.

For your other issue, it's scaling instead of scale. GPxPatch docs cover it all.
