Right I have tried to put some of the cars into the game to see how they look. Never using 1 LOD cars before I have no clue what i'm doing so some help is required and most appreciated and I've already ****** things up hahahahahahah

Right then... really in need of some help now, Car 5's t cam view is still different from the rest and for some reason getting massive graphical and performance slow down when there are a few cars on track and in pits, i turned off the gp4tweaks for some of the view edits and now it's totally messed up the tv graphics etc.

I'm making a real mess of this now but was trying to get it all worked out and released for you guys and I guess i'm about to fail on that one

Right guys... I have started from a fresh GP4 and have been trying to implement everything I have done so far. As this is still being worked on and in Beta this is not the final result but... I need help, as you will see from the screenshot there are a few problems I could do with some help with to try and get all this perfect for a release in time.. Many thanks.

Small update, some issues have been sorted and well nearly 2 in the morning but i wanted to share this with you all....

And this morning I have some bad news. I am thinking of scrapping this mod entirely. More problems crop up with it and I don't know how to fix things. I've tried but I don't want to have to keep bugging you guys for help. It may be better if I just can it.

I will have a think about it today but it has put me in a bad mood when things were going so well then things start to go wrong and you become baffled to why the **** it's happening

I have tried to reproduce your problem with the brakes bug. Easy to fix, just rename bg_xk.tex into hi_bg_xk.tex from your cars.wad. It should be ok.

Thank you arnaud but I have a real major problem. When there is one car on track I'm getting well over 60fps but when all 22 cars are used gp4 becomes totally unplayable. Have you any idea on that?

Remove the 2GB ram limit, there should be a thread about it. For CSM it'd simply be a cap file, but it seems like you don't use it.

Right, I have made a thread about that. Unfortunately, the search function can't find threads before OVH 's incident, for the moment.
So, long story short:
1- Put the 4gb_patch.exe into your main GP4 folder (before, disable your antivirus. He may detect a false positive)
2- Double click on it and look for the gp4.exe file
3- A message will confiirm you that the game is patched.

Don't worry. It is 100% safe and it is now recommended after installing the game . There is another manual method with CFF explorer but the result is the same. So, better use the easiest solution

Thanks guys I will try that tonight. You're right kedy I don't use ccsm. For one I don't know how haha and all the computers I've had in the past wouldn't let me use it. Will update on it tonight.

Kedy, Excalibur I owe you two big time, Thank you for that tidbit of info.. My god if that is how GP4 is supposed to run....Whew I have been missing out big time!!! Okay now, I have tried turning off the gp4 overlays with the rev counter etc but I'm probably doing something wrong as it's been so long since working with a fresh GP4... Tried turning off arcade and tv overlays but they still show...Hmmm need to sort that bit out in the progession of this work.
