GP4 not starting

I tried to open GP4.exe today after installing a car, the BMW Sauber F1.06. I did everything instructed, replacing the necessary files in the wad, etc.
But now I go to start up GP4.exe and it returns me to desktop, not even an error message to tell me what's happened. I know it worked earlier as I started it up around an hour ago before I installed the car and it worked fine. I've even replaced the GP4 file with the decrypted exe but nothing changes. Any help would be appreciated (I seem to be saying this a lot lately lol)
