Round 12 - German GP - HockenheimringWelcome back for today's qualifying session. Weather reports give us a slight chance for rain, so let's head straight to the track to see how things'll turn out.
RodrÃguez out first, still a fair bit off from the fastest laptime in the practice session
Hinz does quite a bit better already
Vilela can't keep up with that pace
Bouchard a long way back, might have had a slight mistake somewhere along the way
Silva, winner of the S12 race here, sacrifices his lap to give his teammate a decent slipstream, which he properly makes use of to snatch the top spot
Buitenhuis in 6th almost 1s down
Sakata takes it away from him
Russell in 7th right behind his teammate
4th place for Greidanus, still quite a gap to the top
Gustavo completes the first group, he takes 7th
De Bruyker goes 6th fastest
Pedersen only in 10th
Good lap by Scala, he takes 3rd place
O'Neill goes even faster, not missing much on provisional pole
As I said that Majumdar snatches it away, Tyrant seemingly continuing where they left off in practice
Parachki takes 4th place
Kederer in 6th
Gilson down in 16th, a long way behind his teammate
10th place for Karda
Elleker 7th fastest, AMR looking good today
McCarthy in 10th
That's the first runs done, Majumdar holds provisional pole, with quite a gap to McClure in 2nd
Russell kicks off the 2nd runs, minor improvement for him to get 19th
Yellow flags out as Buitenhuis' engine has blown up, he parked his car in the Ostkurve
Greidanus can't improve
Sakata moves up to 11th
Vilela 1 up to 13th
Bouchard way better than in his first run, unfortunately for him still way off pace in last
Gustavo takes 11th
McClure can't improve, he remains in 2nd
RodrÃguez' lap not good enough for an improvement either
Silva remains down in 17th, wouldn't be surprised if he's a bit fed up about not having been given slipstream by his teammate in return this time round
Hinz finds a few hundredths and goes up to 4th
De Bruyker takes 13th, it'll be a long race for the championship leader
Kederer can't improve, he remains in 6th
O'Neill in the other Alpha does better, but it's not quite enough to make the front row
Minor improvement for Elleker, but he remains in 7th
Scala goes up from 8th to 6th
8th now for Pedersen, that was way better than his first run
Parachki, Majumdar, Gilson, McCarthy and Karda all can't improve their time
And that's it, congratulations to Aritra Majumdar on his maiden pole position!
