unable to find MFC42.dll

Ok so I reinstall GP4... having had this problem with updating the 2002 pitcrew with carset creator 4.
Update using the official update patch the file with the no CD patch( am I going ok) then change the cars.wad and anime.wad files for 2002 then when I try to install GPx 3.40 I get that little window cannot find MFC42.dll. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it????
Any how if any one has good updates for season 2002 (cars pitcrew names and performance) can you point me in the right direction

usually in C:\WINDOWS\system but try sytem 32 or just in windows if that doesn't work at first
