i'm working on a 3d cockpit steering wheel for the early 90s-era and i got this strange issue with the textures. while they look good in gp4builder, i get just one single color for each part once i test it in gp4:
Would be great if somebody knows the solution. if necessary, i can share the files as well.
Looks like gameengine is set on 2d image and is calculating 3d mesh as one. Would it be possible to export one light source together with 3d object. Another thing I wonder if reversing normals would give any result.
Right I've had a good at this and I got the textures to work, I remapped everything into one .tex (steering_wheel_centre.tex), it still projects the thing as a 2D image, but the textures look ok! It was only a very quick texture job! No shadows or depth! Hope it help guys
Carl: I'll PM you the file back with the new files inside

his way does actually work, i just did a quick test on a clean gp4 install and tilted the camera with teameditor in the cockpit-view. what we see now is a fully working 3d-wheel in the regual cockpit-view. you can even see the handlebar spining.
i just have to work on the camera-settings now (btw: who knows how to do that in csm and without teameditor?
