I was thinking that when you turn a corner in the game, the degree to which the steering wheel turns would be an integer or a specific amount of degrees. I think this would also be the case with the amount of head turn you get when pressing the x and c keys. Would it be possible to link these so that when the steering wheel turns a certain amount, the head moves a certain amount into the corner.

As well as this, it is probably impossible, but are able to change the roll and pitch of the camera in game to correspond with the turning and also acceleration? Just a thought.

Cheers

lol. I think you could have a maximum amount of head rotation like full lock would translate to 45 degrees of head rotation.

dUmAsS, JPM think if head rotation is based from steering whell turn and the behavior just like in real driving. We can use only pure steering turn input value returned by controller device.

The problem is when we use keyboard or keypad (switched control) because they hasn't min and max range area.

Is it possible to include this in your gp4tweaker and let the user decide to use it or not if he has a steering wheel?

I hope this works, it would certainly make it a lot more realistic... driving around albert park, turn 15, head pulling to the right, on to the main straight and head thrown back...

I imagine that our lap times would be a bit faster when in cockpit view as well plus the actual feeling of being thrown about.

Yeah, I generally drive in the T-Cam view because I can see more and be right on the limit whereas the cockpit view i feel you can always get a bit more. If my idea is possible and works, I will definitely be going back to the cockpit view as I played gp1 & 2.

If you can do this Madman, can you give us a scale factor to be able to personalize the head rotation amount ?
something like : head rotation= (steering)wheel rotation*factor.
Might be better for everybody :)
