High Quality 2003 Cars

Hi

I have got all of Vipers 2003 cars, they all work very well, and are fantastic. But . . . the thing is, anyone got any good ideas for the rest. I am fussy, and dont want no crap textures and stuff. Also, if there are better cars coming out, what are the expected release dates.

Basically, What are the best cars available on GP4?

i suggest using these cars:

mclaren mp4-17d wai keen lam or maliepaard

Because my Williams uses 2001 shape, so it's not very accurate...
That work was more about remapping 2001 shape so that people can use it for making fantasy cars. I did 2003 texture just to cover it with something, and so that people can see what goes where on texture.
It's not really a proper 2003 car package...

And I think lots of cars above still use false-hi-res textures ... that's what I haven't done before Feb. 2003...sadly there are still lots of texture painter don't know this...( that means GP4 downsampled the textures)...
I'm the first painter who paints textures in 1024x1024 and the original aim of my painting cars in 1024x1024 is solving the rear wing problem of ferrari...that problem is never solved until ZModeler is out and what I found in false-hi-res texture better than standard texture is there's little qualiy-missing in hi-res ones....but if painter do just one thing...you can rise up the quality of the texture again.

I'm sorry, I missed the point here? If textures are downsampled, then they're false hi-res?

well i'm quite puzzled too, but i guess that he means if you use a 1024 texture, without setting the right resolution to the tex-file.
GP4 will then use it as a larger textures and will not scale it so it's not going to be more detailed.

Because if you forget to set the right resolution to the tex-file you will end up with car that seems to have a bad mapping.
So i think he calles that effect "false-hi-res", but other than that i don't get his point...

btw, i prefer Erik & Duco's BAR

But he said many of above cars have false hi-res? I doubt any of those cars looks like bad mapped cars...?
