Help/advice with swapping pit crews/engineers

I'm using the empty 2009 mod as a base, but I can't seem to figure out how to successfully swap pit crews/engineers. Everything I've tried still results in the original 2001 pit crews being displayed. I'm obviously doing something wrong because when CSM loads up no anim.files are read. I've tried to research an answer but I can't find anything that Clearly addresses my problem. Some posts say the Tex files have to be renamed to match 2001 teams, other posts state that if they go through CSM they do not have to be changed, and further posts mention altering the anim.wad. However, the 2009 empty mod does not have an anim.wad and I am unsure of how to create one, if needed. I've played around a little bit with easywad and wadupdater but have not been successful. I'm feeling a little stumped right now and would appreciate any helpful hints or pointers in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Hm, open the mod's .csm file with notepad, line 39 it says Anim=. Make that to
Anim=Anim\Default.ini

Thanks for your response Kedy89.

When I open the CSM file for the mod, there is no line that mentions Anim. The contents of the file are as below. Do I have to insert the Anim section and if so where? Thanks again in advance for your help.

Ah no, not the csm.ini, the .csm file in the mod's main folder. Probably called 2009.csm, unless you renamed it.

Issue has been solved, in the mod's .csm file, second line, the version had to be set to 1.26 instead of 1.25
