Car converting (Right or Wrong) ?

With so many racing games about and the amount of car model's to rip out is crazy but is it ok to convert these car models to use in GP4 or is it crossing the line somewhat...
Any thoughts?

I believe converting cars to GP4 is ok as long as you have the blessing of the creators, modders or artist.
this not always being possible to contact or get permission is the sticking point.

Yeah I know the asking permission to use creators mods and stuff, I meant Official game models by game developers like: Project CARS, Assetto Corsa, rFactor, Need For Speed, All Codemaster Titles like: the F1, Grid and DiRT Series. also ToCA Race Driver and Colin Mcrae Rally.
