How about a stationary camera

OK you GP4 Mod guru's. You know how when viewing a race in director mode that occasionally the camera will drift off the car its following and you can see other cars pass by the frame.
Someone make a spectator cam that will just sit in 1 position and watch the race from a specific location.
Better yet, wouldnt it be cool to be able to move the viewpoint around from various points around the track and follow the car with your mouse.
Anything like that possible?

dunno, but you can set up some cameras on your car, and then park beside the track and watch the rest of them fly past you..

not the same, but i'm doing that to make some test movies for my ITC mod.

<old idea>replace arrows with a couple of tv vans, and make them park. or a tv blimp.
or a motorbike with cameraman to sit on the back like with cycling. :?

i always said that i wanted someone to be able to make camera positions from in the crowd, like on the pit straight and at different turns at each track,
so you can watch a virtual gp!!!

but no-one did much about it.
