I'm working to create a vocal commentary to GP4 to help the race driver to acquire voice messages about the competitors position during a race
avoiding to risk to go out of the race if take a look to the displayed graphics table of the drivers.

This is an example of the application outcomes.

The application I wrote acquires from the GP4 screen report all the information to create the vocal commentary ,
I will be grateful to those who will give me informations to get directly this data from GP4 application in order to improve
the results of my application.

This looks like an interesting idea.
I think that talking to SDI would be your best shot of getting the information you need, as GPxPatch is obviously able to access it.

That's very well done! I'm a bit short on time but I'll see what I can do.

Very nice idea, good work! :)
Would it work with commentary samples, from say Murray Walker? The robot voices aren't the nicest to listen to

It's a Beta version just to verify if is it possible to have a quiet really vocal commentary for GP4.

I currently use ttscmd command, a freeware application, in the future I'll try also to improve voices.

I like it a lot and with better voices it would be ace.

It sounds really promising! Great to see that in 2017 there are still some guys having innovations for GP4! I hope this can be improved and finally implemented.

At the moment this vocal commentary is an application operating only on my customized GP4 environment, my first goal is to improve the quality of the application then I'll work to realize a vocal commentary application that could be used on a standard GP4 environment.

The vocal commentary application is based on 2 modules, the first one is written using DOS scripting and the second one is written in Fortran, when it will be available to be used on a standard GP4 environment I'll provide a set of instructions to install it and also the whole source code, so anyone will be able to modify and improve it by itself.
