Processor occupancy

I have never had this before and everything went very well playing gp4. All of sudden gp4 slows down from time to time during the game and processor occupancy increses from 20 to 13000 !!! How is this possible.

You should run the game at 30 fps only and be sure to shut down the real-time scanner of your anti-virus when playing.

i shut down the real time scanner but it's still the same problem... processor occupancy increses from 20 to 13000. I 'm playing lots of games without any problems and i never had this problem before playing gp4.

Which system are you running? Windows XP, 7, 8 or 10?

i decided to do a fresh gp4 installation as i couldn't solve the problem with processor occupancy. When i try to start up gp4 i constantly get the mssg insert the cd but i''don't have a cd /dvd i my pc (only a external dvd writer)

i did but game is still asking to insert a cd??

Is your external writer plugged in?
If not, do it.
This is because, even if you use the No-CD patch, GP4 still checks to make sure you actually have a disc drive.

gp4 is only working when i plug in the external writer? I never had this problem before. Strange.

Download a CD image (.iso) of grand prix 4 and mount it before you start the game.
