Montreal : GP4 Hotlap Competition

and fcarmoracing - i know what you mean,

if you watch jimbob's lap it looks awfully on rails and also it is not as 'clean' as my lap.

and my lap is fast!

he took the hairpin wrong, and a few other mistakes. so god knows how he got such a fast 1st and 2nd sector.


the main thing is sector2: he did a 52.995 (or thereabouts) and i did an absolutely scintilating 2nd sector and could only do a 53.332
so soemthing looks dodgy.

I havent viewd jim bobs lap yet but i will, but i will soon. also i am updating the times now (not done yet) for this weekend (or mabey a tad longer) i wont be here as often at night time (for me) and so the website
might get a tad behind. DONT worry ill still update it once a day, my uncle
is coming to visit us and he stays in the room where the pc is :\

Hi guys. I just entered my first ever hotlap. I'm afraid I am a long way off your levels, I got 1m16s711 this morning and uploaded straight away.
The slow corners are a problem: corner one and two and the pits hairpin. I try to drive in the gears recommended by the real drivers. I use no aids at all.
I've noticed that GP4 AI seems to drive in lower gears (using 1st gear alot).

My setup is still pretty lousy. If someone could help me out, I'd be pleased to try someone else'e set up.

How can one of the competitors be a independant verifyer? You need somebody who's not entering, like me

and you dont need to ask, just download hotlap by rene shmit, and you can check them all any time!

Our two current verifyiers are 2 of the best, and more importantly, over 3 seconds quicker than me. must be something fishy goin on

You gotta practice Abstraction. Setup has something to do with it. Remember last year's pole was below 1m13.

ok, listen to this.. on the first corner i put one wheel on the grass, in turn 3 my right wheel took the barrier , and i improve to 1.14:861 how the f..... i did that!!!
