Difficulty and save games

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to save a game, say after quali and then load it again but have a different difficulty?

I need to use one difficulty for quali and a different one for the race, because the ai seem better on the high fuel loads

Try to use the 'key binds'. I can see from the settings on my G25 that I used to assign the buttons.

Game_HelpAutoBrake=F1
