MP4-18 shape completed

one question: in the screenshots you sent (in which the mp4-18 carshape on the track) the shadows seem to be of mp4-17's (or maybe 16). will you fix it?

GP4 CAN use the shape to determine the textures, altho it doesnt always do it. When we were testing out GT cars i noticed the shadows were F1 shapes usually, but when close to the camera the shape changed to a GT shape

yep - the shadows are generic - not produced by the shape. So it doesnt matter which car you use you ever will get same shadows.

To release date of real mp4/ 18.

As Haug said its nearly perfect that the new mp4/ 18 will race in silverstone on 20th july. He said that they have fixed the crash test problems on sidepod parts of cockpit and that technical problems are nearly solved. He also said that there`s a chance to see'em earlier - so that will be magny course i think or? But i think they wont release it before silverstone.

Bojan stated above that they wouldn't release the /18 until the real one starts running. I just read on another F1 site that the date for it's debut is now probably MOnza, due to the crash test failure that will take up to two months to fix.

Better get used to that /17D...

may also be worth noting the improved shape of the sidepods and exhausts

I just cant believe i have to wait like a month at least for that! I really dont care if its just plain white, looks amazing

me too. even simple white is enough. i see it with the all textures. it's still mclaren for me.

If this is true that the MP4/18 will be released at monza its a long time to wait.

So spike - can you update your mp4/ 17d please? There are a lot of differences between your shape and the acutal mp4/ 17d. This would be very nice and its not as hard to wait for your mp4/ 18.
