mp4/18 WIP

heres a screenshot of the WIP of mp4/18... the car will be ready in a day or two. theres only the alpha channel to be done and a few texture problems... then its all yours

pardon my french. no it looks very good to me

may i ask what base you used for the carshape? judging from the rear of the car it looks uncannily like my older version of my MP4-17 shape

The rear on the car is wrong sorry to say it. It just does not look like the new car, as spike said it looks like his car with a new front

This car has been modified from the default shape... using zmodeler and 3d studio max r4.0... no other car or part of a car has been used in this... and please dont call this a leech. And it was stated at the top of the message that still WIP. at that time only the front had been done...if in the middle it looks like someone elses work... can i do anything about it ?





now some shape changes and texture touching is left.

i can tell from those pics that the car is MINE. the 3D exhausts, the chunky antennae, the distinctive sidepod flapups and my rear wing.

but it does look VERY like the back end of Spikes mclaren here, and thats odd because the back end of the mp4 18 sint like the mp4 17

Its not a bad effort but there seems to be a huge amount left to be done if its to be ranked as a great version.

It looks to me too that the car is based on the 17D, the sidepods, the air intake above the driver, the flipups around the rear wheels, all 17D rather than 18.

Don't bother rushing it, take your time and get it completely right or nobody will bother using it, us F1/GP4 fans like precise cars with detail as near to real life as possible, anything else just won't do I'm afraid.

that is the most rediculous lie i have ever read!! anyone who's ever d/led my MP4-17/17D will realise that it's my car and not the default

evidence? note the 3D exhausts. for a front end that looks like that i doubt he could make an exhaust like in the pics above.

it also obviously seems like he ripped off Ralph Hummerich's texture too!

From what others have said to me via MSN, this is apparently a rip from Y's shape

If u want u cud both send me the z3d files from ZM and i cud easily compare the both

this is really p*ssing me off! if this is happening to my shape, then i'll have no choice but to cancel the Sauber and my own MP4-18

just post pictures of the cars and compare them...

i persoanlly wud like to have both the mesh's then i cud psot pictures of them both and let you lot decide.
