McAfee can be so daft at times, trying to install GP4 on my PC and at the minute McAfee's Real Time Scanner keeps deleting CSM - I know it's a false positive but I haven't a clue how to deal with it. :/

In fairness I did try searching google for it, but I must have just searched the wrong things (also noted that I missed the Exclusions list at the bottom of McAfee...derp on my part). Much appreciated, John.

I hadn't realised it at first, but yes it can - if you go to the Real Time Scanning page, there are two options: Settings and Excluded Files (Settings is normally open in full so you can miss the Excluded files part).

EDIT: I might need to have another look at this, seems McAfee is still deleting CSM when I try this method (McAfee LiveSafe)

EDIT2: You need to do the same on scheduled scans (or the CSM folder) otherwise it will still delete your false positive files.

That's not very safe my friend, unless you have a fresh backup of everything on your computer and enough time to reinstall all of it.

I use AVG and I always have to disable it whenever I use CSM xD can be a pain in the arse tbh!
