background movies/images

what do you people think of the background movies/images from the megapatch and those by Glenn Perk?
personally, i think they are a pretty good idea, but just fall short.
the megapatch movies are a great idea, but i'd rather have some super slow motion shots, and maybe widescreen so the top/bottom are black, and wih out the tv overlays.
and Glenns pics could also be widescreen and maybe faded by about 50%.
