Gp4 performanec on my rig?

Just wondering what sort of performance I should be expecting from my rig... dual pIII-S 1.4GHz tuallies, 1Gb RAM, radeon 9700 Pro.

At the moment, with mirrors off, static environment maps and bump mapping off, I get PO 100-110 at the start, dropping to 50-60 once well into the race. FPS is set to manual and 38fps.

I haven't tweaked my graphics file at all yet...

i would say that is excellent performance give u only have a 1.4 Gig cpu, im not sure if gp4 takes advantage of dual cpus so if it doesn't is even more impressive

from tests i've seen, clock for clock, the pIII-S @1.4GHz is roughly equivalent to a p4 1.6-1.8GHz. Having a fast gfx card with 128Mb seems to minimise CPU usage.

I'm really surprised by how large a performance hit the mirrors make.
