Hi all,

I am possibly looking to purchase a new wheel, if I am unable to repair the optical encoder in my G27!

Obviously I'm not interested in buying a new G27 or G25 and therefore wanted to see what wheels you guys recommend, which are obviously compatible with GP4 (this is all I really play).

I don't mind spending G27 money but the T500 money is a bit much I think (although the wheel looks amazing! Is it compatible?).

What do you guys use or want to use next for GP4?

I use the DFGT, works perfectly fine, FFB too.

you mean the H shifters?
No it doesn't, but it has (imo) equally effective as the H shifters, which I actually did have on my previous wheel (Thrustmaster Universal Challenge 5 in 1, not tested with GP4 and breaks very easily, no FFB)

but hey, you asked what do you use for GP4, there you go, I use the DFGT :P
The more expencive wheels are better of course, but I don't have them ;-)

Thanks for the advise.

To be clear, the DFTG is just a H shifter?

Does anyone know if the T300 is compatible with PC and GP4?

Any other recommendations?

I forgot to complete my sentence lol
It has buttons at the back, they make no sound, only downside I had on day 1 is that they were hard to press compared to my old wheel

Can someone tell me if the G29 is compatible with gp4?

Also, does anyone know how the encoder's were changed for the G29 vs. G27?

Also does anyone use the Porsche 911 GT2 Wheel with GP4 here?

I can't seem to find anywhere where that wheel is in stock!

Also, can anyone confirm the Thrustmaster TX 458 Italia works with GP4

I'm pretty sure GP4 will allow you to use any wheel you have as along as it's compatible with PC.
I can play with a Thrustmaster T500rs with the Ferrari F1 rim perfectly fine.
Unless the way game controllers/steering wheels are handled in Windows are drastically changed, any wheel will continue to work with GP4.

Thanks mate,

Good to know. I'm looking at getting the T300 GTE & the F1 rim.

Do you know if the F1 rim can be bought with the wheel as the default wheel, without having to buy it as an extra? Is the F1 rim good by the way?

I do use the Logitech Driving Force GT and it works fine as I also do only olay GP4.

If you buy a wheel that, for some reason, doesn't work with GP4 straight away, you will most likely be able to make it work using Pinnacle Game Profiler.
I use it for my Xbox 360 Controller, and littleone90 used it when GP4 didn't like his Simraceway SRW-S1

nice tip, thank you!

Can anyone comment on the 458 italia by thrustmaster? I'm reading some amazing reviews, but also some negative stuff about breakages, do you know if the issues have been resolved with later versions?

I think I'm down to either the T300 GTE or the 458 Italia.

The only thing making me think t300 GTE is the problems I'm reading about the 458 Italia.

Thanks
