I'm not so for Americans, they are far too naive, know everything best and they do not like F1... they just love drivers who race after each other in circles (ovals) !!!

Really don't know if there is an American on this forum... never crossed my mind, doh ! ;)

I am sure I am NOT the only player from the U.S. here on this forum. And there are many who follow Formula 1. I have been a loyal fan of Formula one since the 1960's. I really got involved when I discovered the Speed channel here in the U.S. Broadcast the races in the late 80's. Since I live in Wiscinsin, I was able to attend all of the races held at Indianapolis, about 6 hour drive away from my home. Now, the only option is the Canadian Gp, and the U.S. GP in Texas. Both a long distance away, so, I am content with watching Formula 1 on TV.

You're kidding, right? It's naïve and very arrogant of you to say that. Quite controversial, indeed.

Yes, I am American. I began watching F1 just after the 2013 Brazil GP. Followed the entire 2014 season on the dot.

Look who's talking... people who think, Brussels is Belgium and live is one big party.
I may be arrogant to you... so you're looking into a mirror...
I worked with Americans... I know how they are!
So, if I hurt your feelings... I'm very Sorry and apologize.
But that doesn't change my feelings and thoughts about people of the new world.

Have fun on GPG. welcome !

End of discussion.

@ Brett: Interesting answer from you, and not a nice one.

Why I ask is, exept for oval racing there have been and are some racing series that could made nice mods for GP4.
I guess it would be mush easier for Americans to understand and work with that kind of projects. I just happend to have
a neighbour from Canada who has raced in the former Indy Light that was called American Racing Series back in -88/-89.
They used F1 chassie from around -82 and a Buick V6 engine. They also drive on street, road and oval tracks during a season.
I'm not a fan of oval racing my self but for sure it would be some interesting mods.

I have start to build a ARS (American Racing Series) car for fun but have not deside what to do with it yet.

You're making a fool of yourself here. First you offend all Americans on this forum based on your experience with a few, then you say you're very sorry but you actually aren't, and then you decide to end the discussion one sided. Maybe you are sorry you said your opinion in the first place, since you didn't expect there would actually be any Americans on this forum.

Not with a few... quite a lot my friend... over there, around the world and in Belgium.
I did apologize if i had offended someone and I said end of discussion.
What part did you not understand ?

I'm a retired Adjudant-Chef / Warrant Officer Class 1 of the Belgian Air Force and I've been around the world for my job,
and the only military men and civilians I met who were arrogant, not listening and always knew better were all Americans.
So friend, don't tell me how I have to think about them after 35 years of service for my country.
I even took a bullet in the leg for an American civilian and a French civilian in Afghanistan because they were not listening.
I just spoke my mind and I'm surely not a fool.

If someone feels offended by what I wrote now, I offer my apologies again for the second time.

And now this discussion is definitely over for me.

Who are you? There are Formula One fans here and with respect, I probably know more about the history of F1 than you have ever known. We are a diverse bunch here, we do have our own "national" sports such as baseball and our football and Indycar and NASCAR. Many of us also are fans of series like the Lemans sports cars and the Aussie V8 Supercars as well as F1. Keep in mind that the overall economy of the USA is that of the entire European continent - there is room for all motorsports here.

The initial question was a perfectly reasonable one and deserved a courteous response. Please read the Forum Rules if you're uncertain of what is / is not acceptable here.

Now let's back on topic please.

@ TomMK: You can delete this thread.

With this strange response I could made my mind up quite easy to not finish my ARS car for GP4.
