WEC Mod

Might as well continue on the thread I started... but I've got the whole thing sorted now so im ready to get my career underway.

Round 1 will be the 4 (and a bit) hours of Bathurst race, which is going to be streamed live this Saturday at 7PM GMT at [www.twitch.tv]. Hopefully some of you can join me to get a good look at the Le Mans mod i've constructed, as well as chat all things GP4/Anything whatsoever.

I'll also be streaming qualifying for it Saturday Midday GMT, and possible any practise sessions I do in the build up to it so feel free to drop by for an early look.

As for the mod, the entry list looks like this:

Thanks to Gezere, Meteoro405 and the LMPS mod for great models. The mod is in a decent state but I don't quite have full permissions to release everything yet. When I have that and minor things such as driver images/gridcars are fixed I may well release it.

If anyone is interested in how the calendar from the above discussion turned out, this is what I got:

And thats all the information about this if people are interested. Perhaps a little too details for a personal career mode but ah what the hell.

Nice mod, nice track list & nice car list

I would probably have put Corvette's works team rather than a private one, so with Papa Magnusen & Oliver Gavin as drivers for instance, but apart from that minorthing pretty good series.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've had a look into a bit and made a few extra changes with some drivers:

Chevrolet: Replacing Makowiecki/Pilet with Gavin/Magnussen
Ferrari: Replacing Calado with Fisichella
BMW: Replacing Stanaway with Werner
Audi GT/Lamborghini: Taking on the Porsche GT drivers of Makowiecki and Pilet

Damn the one day I can't watch

It's tempting, and would be interesting but I think with the GPGSL and GPGNC there isn't need for another. Plus the long races to make it fit the mod would require one hell of a coverage. I'd be willing to run a non-championship feature race for one of them, no idea how you determine the split between GT and LMP though!

How about Uqbar? Did you find some problems?

I ran a few races on Uqbar and it seemed to work ok... Maybe if there is a problem its something small similar to the Rolling Hills issue. I know the GPGSL used it a few years back and still offer it as an option in the track vote, I'll run more tests on it as a get closer to driving on it but so far I think its fine

And what are "Foetus", Miami and California?

GPGSL: Snake Motorsport Test Driver for S10 (promoted to Race Driver from Monza Onwards)

GPGSL-3: Christel VXR Race Driver for S9

All 3 are fictional circuits that are fairly long and very well made. I figured its better to show of some of the better fictional tracks that fit the criteria.

Miami by tumyeto set in Miami docklands complete with shipping containers and a street circuit feel: here
California by KTC reminds me a bit of Sepang with the scenery, very well put together: here
Foetus by Zeppelin has fantastic scenery as well as a lot of long corners: I can't find a link for this. Found this one on my harddrive

Thanks for the link! Interestingly that site also lists Uqbar as having bugs, as well as the Foetus circuit... I'll have to look again for more details on that. I guess both of them are tentative right now then

So after several failed attempts due to my own fault, I finally got an attempt a good way underway. Get to the first round of pitstops, roll my car into the pits and... nothing. The car sits there, nothing happens, cannot get going again, another attempt and this evenings stream dud.

Is there any way to fix it? I've got fix pitstop bug ticked in GPxPatch, but still no success. Worst comes to worst I will redrive it again with invicibility on (note i did pit with a missing wheel, but normally this is no issue)

I may give it a go again tomorrow and stream, not sure about a time. Only a little frustrated to lose a few hours driving!
