GP4 AI

It's the best AI experience out there, is what they say. It's why I got into GP4 in the first place.

What I want to check is, if the AI is purely default or if there are some ai mods that are 'must haves'?

I think it's hardcoded. You can just alter the performance file but nothing about their behaviour AFAIK.

Yes, the AI can only be modified by the performance file right now, what does not mean that it's still impossible somewhere in the future to modify the behaviour as well.

If you read the Geoff Crammond interview, you would have noted his comment on the AI. Given that to date, the GP4 AI is unsurpassed, I wouldn't expect Geoff to be allowing the code to be released anytime soon.
