Cannot load mod onto GP4

Hi

I am going mad with these problems. I am running Vista 64 bit.

1. I cannot get GP4 to run in 1920 x 1080 resolution. The highest resolution I can get is 1440 x 900. I think this may be because I am using my HD tv and a 1440 x 900 monitor together, although every other game I have can run in 1920 x 1080 on the tv, with monitor at 1440 x 900.

2. No matter how I try, I cannot get ANY mod to work on GP4. I keep getting the same message: "Unload GpxPatch and GP4 first to restore"

I have tried installing, reinstalling, everything. I am convinced it has got something to do with Vista's ridiculous permissions and security. I have tried turning off UAC and running as Administrator.....nothing has worked so far.

You have edited your f1graphics.cfg file ?

Have the 1 to enable then the resolution on the next two lines yes?

1 ; f1graphics.cfg controls all settings (default 0)
1920 ; [RELEASE] Game 3D Horizontal Resolution
1080 ; [RELEASE] Game 3D Vertical Resolution

Yes, I've done that. Works great for 1440 x 900

I don't think you can do that with GP4.

Possibly your anti-virus is marking csmcore.exe as a trojan. Make an exception for this file in your anti-virus and then re-install ZaZ Tools and the CSM mods.

Yes, you're right it is. I will try this and let you know. The resolution I can live with.

Well, what do you know! It was the virus problem!!!

It's working now....terrfic!!
